Allie Schmidt

Allie has been part of the ALS community for over six years, not only as a patient, but as a champion for those struggling with ALS and other disabilities. She has a passion for providing support to those who feel isolated, afraid, or overwhelmed. In addition to being an advocate for ALS and disability rights, Allie is a loving wife and mother.

Allie believes in participating in ALS research because it is “important to me, because it gives me hope for my future. I’m confident that we will one day find an effective treatment and put it into this tragic disease...but until then, we must keep fighting.” As a Change Champion, her hope is “to play a small part in finding a cure by working together with companies like PicnicHealth.”

Thank you Allie for all you do for the ALS community and beyond! You can learn more about Allie's work and follow her journey at @disabilitydame
